At the end of a village road, leaning towards the southside of the fjord, you shall find Skrivergaarden - a place for tranquility, freedom and inspiration. Here you will be greeted by local hosts who have the time and opportunity to show you rooms, the garden and all it’s nooks and crannies - in all it’s glory. A historical site, with roots reaching as far back as the 12th century. This site has been a place for gatherings and seated people of knowledge and power, such as noblemen, clerics, clergy and magistrates. Known under the name “Leikvin”

Vedvikvågen
​Not everyone has the opportunity to swim in the deepest lake in Europe, but in Vedvikvågen you can enjoy a dip in Hornindalsvatnet.
Drive to Hjelle (east of Nordfjordeid), take national road Rv15 towards Heggjabygda, follow the road about 1.9 km and you will arrive at Vedvikvågen.
